I love the hands free option.
It is so powerful it actually blew some leaves off the deck outside. The noise level is OK.

I like the look and the way to operate it is simple. Has pretty good suction but is noisier then I expected. I was expecting the noise this hood makes at the first speed to be the noise made by the 3rd or 4th speed. You can't have a normal conversation in the kitchen with this thing even at the first speed.

Unit runs nice with very powerful suction, BUT I had to cut down the chimney, 5 inches on the outer piece and 2 inches on the inner piece and transfer the holes to make it work for a regular 8 foot ceiling.
This is not for someone who is not skilled in metal work. Luckily I am a skilled tradesman, but it took awhile to make it fit. It now looks great. Also the provided screws were too short and had to use my own screws to mount the plastic baffle unit to the fan. The plastic wrap was unnecessary and too difficult to remove as it took us almost a half hour to remove. They could use other easier to remove material to protect the finish. After seeing how other brands are installed via You Tube this is an engineering nightmare in comparison.

The gesture control feature is not user-friendly and the unit sometimes comes on when standing in front of it,that is an annoying feature.
